Duration of game is 2 (12) minute halves and a 2 minute halftime.
No offside rule.        No slide tackling.     No goalkeepers.
Goal scoring – the ball must be touched by any player on the offensive half of the field.
Goal box is 5 ft by 8ft.  No ball contact allowed in the box or on the line of the box.  If a defender makes contact, the result is a goal. If an attacker makes contact, the result is a goal kick.  The plane of the box extends upward. A player can run through the box legally.
Subbing is allowed by either team on any dead ball situation.
No time wasting. No protests.   This is a friendly tournament and good sportsmanship is expected, especially from fans.  Thank you for modeling sportsmanship to our athletes.

Kick ins instead of throw ins.  All kicks are indirect. A kick from a foul is given 5 yards from any defender.  If the ball is close to the goal box, it will be moved 5 yds back. Kickoffs are taken in any direction.  Goal kicks are taken from the endline, not the goal box.

If a team is down 3 goals or more, they may put a fourth player onto the field.  Once the deficit is lower than 3 they should remove the extra player, unless the other team is willing to keep the challenge in place.  Running up the score will not help you advance in this tournament, so please don’t let a lopsided matchup get out of hand.

Bracket place is determined by 3pts for a win and 1 point for a tie.  No points for goals or shutouts. If teams are tied in placement, the tie breakers are:
1.  Head to head result       2.  Fewest goals given up    3.  Shootout.

Playoff overtime:  A coin toss determines who will kickoff.   3 minute overtime with golden goal rule to end the game. If tied at the end of o.t. period, shootouts.  3 players on the field from each team will take kicks from midfield, no keepers. Best of 3 kicks wins. If tied, 3 same shooters and the first team to gain an advantage wins.

Fields will have a field marshal present to record scores and keep things running smoothly.  A field marshal will declare if they are reffing the game. If it is a non-reffed game, players announce, "Foul!"  when fouled and the game restarts with an indirect kick. COACHES AND PARENTS DON’T CALL FOULS. The essence of this tournament is the fun and creativity of the players, so keep sportsmanship in your game.

All championship games will have a referee.

Captain duties

The captain of the team should make sure all members know your game times, and color of uniform or t shirts you will wear.  Please email back the tournament director that you have received the info and that all members of your team know or will know the information.

It is important all games start on time.  Teams should arrive to their field 5 minutes before the start time.  There is only about a 3 minute break between one game ending and the next one starting.
